We realise pretty early in the day that we've got the wrong start point. Instead of starting at Joigny we finish here in a week. D'oh. We drive on to Corbigny which is a good hour and a half away, stopping at Auxierre to grab a couple of essentials on our way.
A bit of packing and cleaning up and we are on the boat about 2:30pm. It's not the biggest or newest boat in existance and it takes a bit to sort the hand over. We only leave base about 5pm and have a bit of fun working out the run of things. 4km, 3 locks later we arrive at Chitry-les-Mines for the nght. Not much happening in this village on a Friday night.
