July 10: Thursday from Paris

Still faining so we elect to drive to Joigny where our canal boat trip starts the next day. Stop at Barbizon. Clare wanders streets to find out a little more about where plain air painting was fostered in the 1800 (between 1830 and 1875). Jean-Francois Millet, Theodore Rousseau and many more were the Fountainbleu painters at Barbizon.
From here we arrive at Joigny and spent the night on the road outside the Locaboat base.
