The heavy rain overnight is cleared by morning. We sift around a little this morning enjoying the lovely quiet spot we have found. Later we read about the Millevache (thousand cows) area as being noted for its beauty. Not many of the thousand cows live in this village and there is still not another camper in sight. We are enjoying our clean green spot. The kids have a go at fishing with dad and grandad and nana and Clare have a bit of a tidy up on the home front.
We walk to the old leaky church and spot a small dead snake and two giant snails along the way. Nothing looks good enough for lunch so we drive off and stop later on by Lac de Vassiviere. Gorgeous lake with two small islands linked by bridge. All in the national park still so lots of forest everywhere. What do you know another thunderstorm comes through and we are caught in another mad downpour as we leave.
From here it's a lovely drive through forest and dale as we head north and move closer to Paris. Go past another site of masacre just a short distance from Oradore. We end up in Genouillac municipal car park.
