May 16: Woburn to Bollington

Our van is still not here so we head to visit cousin Edwina and family in Bollington. We shoot up the M6 and stop for a late picnic lunch with nana Kay and grandad Malcolm. We choose the lovely National Trust site at Tatton Park. It is just south of Manchester and close to some of the swanky parts of the UK like Wilmslow and Alderly. We have a great afternoon checking out each others wheels and it is great to see them again. Tatton Park is lovely and the girls love the playground.
It's around six when we finally rock up to Bollington. The kids are so happy to play with their newly discovered cousins and Tony and Clare are overwhelmed with choice as we discuss options of things to do over the next week. The Peak district is literally outside the back window, Manchester and Liverpool are nearby, the Middlewood way cycle route runs past the house and a canal route is very near. It's great to be here!
