We start our day with a short trip across the road from our campsite to Bedruthan Steps. The wind is again pretty extreme. We don't notice any adder snakes that we are told to look out for on the surrounding rocks but the girls enjoy the walk to the wild beach.
From here we take a short trip to Padstow. The town is very quaint and it's a nice excursion to take the ferry to the village of Rock on the other side of the channel. We enjoy poking around the village and especially exploring the Rick Stein deli and fish shop. Pops was a real fan of Rick and his dog chalky so there are a few tears during the day.
We can't quite stump up with the forty pounds required for each mains meal at the Rick Stein restaurant. Instead we buy fresh fish and cook up a Rick Stein inspired boullibase in honour of dad when we get established at our campsite. Tonight it is in a farmers field overlooking Padstow. We wander a few hundred metres and have a drink at the local before settling for the night.
