May 14: London Special from Woburn

We decide to make another trip to London with the girls. Can't get enough of it! We park the van and ride a train to St Pancras station. It's a mad dash but we make it to Westminster tube station where we race across the park just in time to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. The girls are so very lucky. They are singled out by the policewoman for good reasons and given front row seats. It's a pretty surreal experience. Just wonderful.

Once again the girls insist on a walk througn the park to feed the squirrels. Its a magic sunny day and so just perfect for enjoying the park. This time we find the mounted guards but forget about Millie's allergy. She pats the horses and half an hour later when in the National Gallery, we have to make an exit to find antihistamine tablets. There is time to enjoy Trafalgar Square before heading to the London Eye. It's a pretty cool experience and one the girls have been long anticipating.

After a stroll along the Thames we find more squirrels outside St Pauls but manage to persuade the girls to move on with the promise of searching out the Princess Diana Memorial Playground near Notting Hill. Close to rush hour, the tube ride is quite an experience for all. Of course today the playground happens to be closed for repairs so we wander to find dinner at a local sushi train.

The double decker bus takes us directly to St Pancras Station and we get to admire it before taking the train home. Another fabulous day in London.
